Bystronic webcast Keeping the Pace in Sheet Metal Fabrication

Thursday, May 16, 2013 1:00 PM (CST)

Presented by Bystronic

Sheet metal fabrication has had a recent renaissance with the introduction of Fiber lasers, dramatically increasing laser cut speeds and part throughput. While the benefits of increased throughput are apparent, careful considerations must be made to downstream processes to take full advantage of the productivity gains. Join us to gain the competitive edge in sheet metal fabrication. In this Webcast we will look at the challenges and the solutions to introducing high speed equipment into the sheet metal fabrication process. What are the considerations for keeping pace in sheet metal fabrication?

  • • Order Management
  • • Automated Programming
  • • High Speed Fiber Lasers
  • • High Speed Material Automation
  • • High Speed Bending

Timesavers webcastAutomated Deburring: A Surprising Cost and Time Savings

Wednesday, June 5, 2013 1:00 PM (CST)

Presented by Timesavers Inc. and 3M

This Webcast will describe the advantages of different types of deburring machines. We will also describe different types of abrasives technologies in detail, including coated and non-woven abrasives. Many factors that improve performance, such as processing wet vs. dry and the impact of speed, coolant, and pressure will also be discussed.

PennEngineering webcastAtlas "Blind Threaded Rivet Fasteners: A Tutorial"

Wednesday, June 19, 2013 1:00 PM (CDT)

Presented by PennEngineering

Blind threaded rivets provide a permanently mounted, load bearing threaded attachment point in thin sections or panels.

This presentation will provide the audience an introduction and a better understanding of how blind threaded fasteners work, when and where they should be used, and what considerations need to be made for optimal use and performance. To address these factors, areas to be explored include blind threaded fastener basics, fastener types, fastener materials, platings, performance and installation (including tools). Common problems and solutions will also be examined. During the presentation we hope to address any misconceptions, questions or concerns the audience may have and also provide a technical help information resource for any future inquiries.
